Early September, the employees of Lantern raised funds and donations all in aid of Leeds Mind, supporting people with mental health difficulties. Following on from the last charity event which took place in April, where Lantern raised a total of £400, this recent event raised a fabulous increased total of £600 which the company doubled to a grand total of £1200!!

The day was a complete success and full of fun, with very generous contributions from well-known local organisations such as; Go Outdoors, Morrisons and Esendex who all donated fabulous raffle prizes together with local independents from the surrounding area such as; Karen’s Flowers, Sandy’s Sandwich Bar, The Wok, and Gentlemen’s Chuckaboo.

The employee’s responsible for organising and hosting Lantern’s charity events are Kym and Mishelle. It’s pleasing to see that both ladies play to the Lantern’s HEART core values whilst organising these worthwhile charitable events

So far, this has been the most impressive intake of funds and donations the business has seen. A fun filled day of Lantern based activities, quizzes and raffles made the atmosphere throughout the business enjoyable.

CEO, Denise Crossley said “Mental health can effect each and every one of us in its own way but with the right support and guidance, what a difference it can make to someone’s everyday life

Denise values and recognises all employees for their time, effort and commitment in their everyday roles and the involvement within internal events, especially to charitable events that are relatable to not only the staff of Lantern but the customers we care for.

Denise, Kym and Mishelle thank all who took part and helped to donate and raise the much needed funds.
